anthropology by Lauren Gunderson is a timely drama with a small, intimate cast. The group of four female presenting roles will get to work together collaboratively to dig into these engaging characters. 

Synopsis: Merril’s younger sister, Angie, disappeared over a year ago and is presumed dead.  Since then Merril has not been able to move away from her grief over this sudden and tragic loss. She cuts herself off from the outside world and decides to use her considerable computer skills to create an AI version of her sister. Virtual Angie is designed to aid Merril in coping with her guilt and depression and it works well.  So when Virtual Angie suddenly offers the possibility that real Angie might still be alive, Merril does everything she can to to work with her creation to find her sister.  But as the search continues, it becomes less and less clear whether an AI creation that Merril programmed to help her might have developed motives of its own.
