ALD Information for Facility Accessibility
The Players is dedicated not only to delivering unforgettable community performances, but also to ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all patrons. The newly installed Listen Everywhere system delivers live audio streams over WiFi directly to audience members’ smartphones. The system supports both Bluetooth-capable hearing aids and cochlear devices.
With advanced ALD technology, it requires phone technology that will complement the Listen Everywhere system. Apple iPhone 12 or a Samsung S21 or later is required for the best connection possible.
The Players Theatre at the historic Barker Playhouse is thrilled to announce the successful upgrade and full ALD (Assistive Listening Device) installation of Listen Everywhere, the latest in wireless assistive listening technology from Listen Technologies.

“In support of The Players’ mission to create welcoming, inclusive theatrical experiences, we are proud to announce the recent upgrade of our Assistive Listening Device (ALD) system for our deaf and hard-of-hearing patrons. This special project was pursued out of my deep commitment to our theatre’s values of access, community, and equity in the arts. By improving our accessibility resources, we aim to ensure that every audience member can fully engage with and enjoy the stories shared on our stage.
